Onni had to work today, but we called him and wished him a Happy Father's Day! Murphy and I took out some old photos and these were Murphys favorite. Happy Father's Day Onni! We love you!

This past weekend Onni, Murphy, and I drove to Mississippi for Melissa and Collin's (Onni's cousin) wedding. It was a beautiful wedding. We had so much fun at the Bay-Waveland Yacht Club where the reception was held. We were able to spend a lot of time with Onni's family from Atlanta.

When Onni came home Murphy was 8 months old.

It was late August in 2003 when I stopped to have a cold beer at The Oak in Seguin. I walked up and saw Sam with a few of his friends listening to Onni telling a funny story about pooping in a foreign country. It was very interesting (yes the poop story was interesting), and so I had to sit down and listen to the end. Onni and I talked all night long at the picnic table until closing time. It was strange that we went to the same high school and graduated together but never once spoke to each other. He played the drums and I cheered. Our few days together were so fun, but the Army called Captain Hynninen back to Georgia. Onni and I kept in touch everyday and we visited each other once a month until the following Spring when he invited me to live with him in Savannah. Through baseball games, weekend evenings on River Street, fun at the beach, and vacations with family, all I wanted was to spend the rest of my life with him. One evening when we were walking on the beach on Tybee Island Onni went to tie his shoelace and under the moonlight out came a diamond. He asked. I said yes. We were married on December 23, 2004.

Okay, so there's our story. On May 23, 2005 Philip Murphy Hynninen was born. So, to make the rest of this long story short we made it through a deployment and Onni left the military. We moved back to Texas. All because of the poop story :)

Hello everyone. I have decided to blog so I can keep in touch with all of my friends. I'm trying to learn this blog thing so bare with me. I'll probably start with the beginning of how Grace and Onni met because everyone says," Grace and Onni got married"? And update everyone on our son, Murphy. This is gonna be fun.
